The Australian Satellite of the Cochrane EPOC Group was established in 2005 to assist evidence-based policy-making by supporting, promoting and helping to implement systematic reviews of interventions designed to improve health care practice and the delivery of effective health services relevant to Australia and the South East Asia region. Funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, it is a partnership between the Cochrane EPOC Group, the National Trauma Research Institute (NTRI) and Monash University.
